Amazing Crabby Shrimp Dip, fantastic outside bar right on the beach is the perfect place to bring a pooch. The staff is wonderfully friendly. Strongly recommend
The best thing about Buddy's Crab House is the view from the covered patio. The food is not that special and drinks are over priced. Tried it twice this week with the same result. My steamer bucket was awful with over cooked everything including the corn. No plates were offered to eat your food on. Flies are everywhere and the tables are sticky. Go for a drink on the patio- skip the food.
Food was pretty good. Fish tacos and soft crab sandwich seemed fresh. Fried oysters not so much. They couldn't remember our mixed drink orders. Very slow service during a slow hour. But food is food when youre on vacation I suppose. I liked our waitress though. Her smile made up for the lack of work the rest of her crew was doing.
One of only a couple places on the beach. If you want cold beer and fried seafood with a nice beach view, this is your place. Open seasonally, inside & outside seating. If you're looking for Ruth's Chris, this isn't it. If you're looking for a cold beer, decent fried food & alright service, ON THE OCEAN.. this is it.
GREAT place for drinking beer and grabbing lunch. I love their upper deck for sipping beer, and chatting with friends while looking down on the ocean. I never go to Surf City without stopping in. If you're looking for a fun beach bar atmosphere; this is it. Gourmet dining? No.
