The location is great, just a couple minutes from beautiful beaches on topsail island/surf city. Unlike many of the heavy populated beaches (Myrtle and VA beach) the parking and access were free. The waters were pristine and the beach was never really crowded.
We love it here! The views are great, the people are friendly and the facilities are good. I think if you rate a campground based on a fight of 2 adults, you can't find the office, the children are on golf carts and the dumpsters are full then your an idiot. These are not things that the campground controls...i bet the pickup for the dumpsters are a Monday or Tuesday after the weekend. We love it here and have never had a bad experience. Relax your on island time....
For a peaceful, slow paced getaway, surrounded by nice people. Perfect!

The staff here were great. The pool stays open until 8. Mostly full-time sites here, however, we were able to get a full hook-up right next to the fishing pier. The pier has been recently updated, and they are still adding to it. The playground was a little weathered, however it is in the blistering sun all the time. The overall grounds were well-maintained. Tons of kids throughout the campground.
